How To: Nissan Window Motor Reset Procedure

Reset Your Nissan Automatic Up/Down & Anti-Pinch Window Function

🔑 Step 1: Turn the ignition ON

Ensure your vehicle is in the “ON” position. The engine does not need to be running.

🔒 Step 2: Check the power window lock

Make sure the driver’s door window lock switch is OFF.

⬆️ Step 3: Fully close the door

 Ensure the door is fully closed. Reset procedure will not work if the door is ajar or open.

⬆️ Step 4: Fully close the window

Lightly tap and release the window switch repeatedly until the window is completely closed.  ⚠️ Do not use one-touch auto.

🔘 Step 5: Press and hold the reset button

While holding the reset button, lightly tap the window switch down until fully open. ⚠️ Do not use one-touch auto.

⬇️ Step 6: Release the reset button

Tap the window switch up until fully closed. Avoid one-touch auto.

🔄 Step 7: Cycle the ignition

Turn the ignition off, then back on to complete the reset.

✅ Step 8: Test the system

Use the door switches to confirm windows now open and close automatically with anti-pinch protection active.
