How To: Nissan Window Motor Reset Procedure

Nissan Power Window Auto Function Reset
Lost your Nissan's auto up/down or anti-pinch window function after a battery disconnect or motor replacement? This step-by-step reset procedure will restore it in minutes.
When to use this guide: After a battery disconnect, window motor replacement, or if your Nissan window no longer auto-opens or auto-closes with a single press, or anti-pinch protection is inactive.
Set the vehicle to the "ON" position. The engine does not need to be running.
Make sure the driver's door window lock switch is OFF.
Ensure the door is fully closed. The reset procedure will not work if the door is ajar or open.
ā ļø Door must be fully latchedLightly tap and release the window switch repeatedly until the window is completely closed.
ā ļø Do not use one-touch autoWhile holding the reset button, lightly tap the window switch down until the window is fully open.
ā ļø Do not use one-touch autoTap the window switch up until the window is fully closed. Avoid one-touch auto.
Turn the ignition off, then back on to complete the reset sequence.
Use the door switches to confirm windows now open and close automatically with anti-pinch protection active.
ā Reset complete. Your Nissan's auto up/down and anti-pinch window function should now be restored. Repeat for each window if needed.
