Nissan S15 Silvia / 200SX Auto-Function Delete
Replacing the window motor on an S15 but want to delete the auto-function? It's a simple wiring job — you only need two wires from the original plug. Here's exactly how to do it.
Buying from us? You won't need this guide
This wiring mod is only needed if you're using our discontinued bare-lead motor, or a third-party aftermarket motor that doesn't come with the S15's multi-pin plug attached.
Our current S15 replacement motor comes with the original-style multi-pin plug pre-fitted — it plugs straight into your car's harness with no cutting or rewiring required.
🔍 View Our S15 Plug-In MotorThe S15 uses a multi-pin plug for the window motor, but the auto-function module is built into the original motor. When fitting a standard replacement motor without the plug, you only need to connect the two power wires — the rest can be removed or taped off.
Power Wires — Use These Two Only
All other wires from the original plug can be removed or taped up. They are not needed when fitting a standard (non-auto-function) replacement motor.
Cut the plug from the old motor, leaving enough wire lead to comfortably join to the new motor. Don't cut too short — leave at least 10–15cm of lead.
Identify the two power wires from the plug: Blue and Blue with Red Trace. Remove or tape off all other wires — they are not required.
Join the two power wires to the new motor's leads. Before permanently joining, test the polarity first: press the Up button — if the window goes up, polarity is correct. If it goes down, swap the wires.
Always verify polarity before permanently joining. Reversed polarity won't damage the motor but will make the window operate in reverse.
Permanently join the wires once polarity is confirmed. Use a quality connector — we recommend soldering and heat-shrink, or a proper crimp connector. Avoid scotch-locks for permanent joins.
Test the window fully (up and down) before reinstalling the door trim.
We stock direct-fit replacement motors for the Nissan S15 Silvia and 200SX — with the multi-pin plug already attached.
